Boy 12 took parents car hits woman.

HOUSTON -
A 12-year-old child who took his parents' car without their permission hit a woman in northwest Houston Saturday, Houston police said.
Police said the boy took his parents' GMC when they wouldn't take him to the store. The boy ended up hitting Elia Ortiz, 32, while she was in her backyard, according to police.
The black GMC broke through the fence around 1 p.m. on Garsee Drive near the Woodland Oaks subdivision of northwest Houston.
Ortiz's neighbor, Alice Capistran was in her driveway when she heard the crash.
"I started running to see what's happened, and seeing my neighbor laying down on the floor so I went to tell her everything was going to be okay and we called 911," she said.
Ortiz's husband said his wife was transported to Northwest Memorial Hermann Hospital with a fractured back and sprained leg. She was home Saturday night, heavily medicated and in a lot of pain.
Neighbors said once the crash was over, the boy was crying and asking in Spanish for forgiveness, saying the whole thing was an accident.
HPD says the boy will not be charged and the case is being sent to juvenile court.

Houston pig wins right to not be classified as bacon!

This little piggy can stay at home.
Wilbur, a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig that a Spring homeowner's association wanted to kick out of a family's home, doesn't have to move, a Harris County district court judge ruled Monday.
The Sardo family's one-and-a-half-year-old pig has been the subject of a lawsuit filed by his family to declare him a "household pet" so he can continue living in their subdivision. The Thicket at Cypresswood Community Improvement Association argued the pig violates its rules which forbids pets that are not "common" and "traditional."
District court Judge Mike Engelhart ruled evidence is clear that this pig breed is considered a household pet and that they are not used for commercial purposes. He also said the dispute puts a spotlight on homeowner's associations' restrictions and residents' property rights.
